BREEDER GUARANTEES:
1. Our puppies have been wormed at least three times and have had a physical by a licensed
veterinarian with a clean bill of health.
2. The sire and dam of this puppy have been examined and cleared for hip dysplasia, elbow
dysplasia, heart defects, and eye defects. All necessary care has been taken to only breed the
healthiest of dogs with pedigrees that indicate good genetic backgrounds. However, in the
unlikely event that your dog should have genetic defects, we do offer a warranty. Platinum
Golden’s offers a two year warranty on any puppy with clinical signs of hip dysplasia or elbow
dysplasia and a preliminary OFA report confirming either moderate or severe hip dysplasia or
grade II or III elbow dysplasia. A copy of the x-ray must be furnished to Platinum Golden’s and if
we determine that the dog was poorly positioned, we reserve the right to require the dog to be re-
x-rayed by a vet of our choice. The puppy is also warranted until the age of one year for genetic
defects of the heart or eyes. If there is a heart defect, the diagnosis must be confirmed by a
letter to breeder from a reputable licensed veterinary cardiologist stating that in his/her opinion
this condition is congenital. If there is an eye defect, the diagnosis must be confirmed by a letter
to breeder from a reputable licensed veterinarian ophthalmologist stating that in his/her opinion
this condition is congenital. In the event of a confirmed genetic defect as listed above, a
replacement puppy out of a comparable litter and of the same sex, will be offered to the buyer.
We also reserve the right to acquire DNA to determine that the dog or puppy is one of our
lineages. Puppy must be returned to the breeder at buyer’s expense. Breeder will not be held
liable for any expenses incurred by buyer, including but not limited to veterinarian bills and
transportation costs.
3. All puppies are examined by a licensed veterinarian and given a clean bill of health before
they leave our home. To the best of the breeder’s knowledge, this puppy has no known
diseases or illnesses that would adversely affect their health. This puppy is guaranteed to be
free of untreatable health conditions. In order for this guarantee to be valid, the buyer must take
their puppy to a licensed veterinarian of their choice for the puppy’s check-up within 72 hours of
purchase. If your puppy is found to have a disease that is untreatable or found to have a
hereditary disease, then a letter from the licensed veterinarian stating so must be presented to
the seller within 10 days of delivery. In this case, the puppy will be returned to the seller within
the same 10 days and a refund will be given to the buyer at that time, thus ending this contract
entirely. This refund does not include any expenses incurred by the buyer or by the buyer’s
veterinarian. The breeder will not be held liable for any expenses incurred by the buyer,
including but not limited to veterinarian bills and shipping. Relocation, travel, and separation
from their litter mates can stress a puppy causing the puppy to not eat properly for a few days.
This should clear up in a few days. If it does not, have your puppy examined by a veterinarian.
Stress can bring out certain treatable conditions which would not be included as a reason for a
puppy’s return to the breeder.
4. Breeder is not responsible if puppy contracts a communicable disease after leaving our
property.
5. We only breed the most intelligent, loving, and friendly dogs. However, due to environmental
and training issues out of our control, once the puppy leaves our home, breeder cannot warranty
the temperament of the puppy.
6. Breeder does not guarantee color, size, or look of any puppy.

BUYER AGREES TO THE FOLLOWING:
1. The puppy is not being purchased for resale, will never be sold to a pet shop or puppy
mill, and will never be used for scientific research. If the buyer determines that he/she can no
longer care for the puppy/dog or keep the dog for any reason, he/she will return at owner’s
expense the puppy/dog to Platinum Golden’s for them to either keep or find another home for at
their discretion.
2. Buyer is not to register the puppy under any pet registry, other than American Kennel
Club (AKC) or United Kennel Club (UKC) without breeder’s permission.
3. Buyer will provide adequate housing for their dog away from the elements. The dog will be
kept primarily inside with the family and will receive hours of attention every day. Golden
Retrievers are social animals and thrive on the love of their owners. A Golden Retriever left
alone for long periods of time could develop bad habits out of boredom and loneliness.
4. Buyer will make sure that the dog receives monthly heartworm preventative medicine at least
every 45 days during the warmer months. Buyer will also make sure that this dog will receive
annual vet exams.
5. This puppy, unless sold on full AKC registration, must be spayed by 6 months old if female or
neutered by 1 and a half years old if male.
6. This contractual agreement is made, executed, and will remain in the jurisdiction of the state
of Michigan. If for any reason, litigation should occur, the venue shall lie in Benzie County,
Michigan.

that diet and physical condition is a major contributor and many times is even the cause of hip

over feeding, and improper exercise of a puppy/dog are a known contributors to these
disorders. A dog is underfed if his ribs are highly visible. A dog is overfed if he has no waist
